Fintech in Kazakhstan 2026

Fintech in Kazakhstan 2026
Kazakhstan's fintech sector is entering a new stage: banks are strengthening their positions in the mass consumer market, while independent fintech companies are increasingly shifting towards B2B, infrastructure solutions, and emerging technologies.
About This Research
Key findings from the annual national study «Fintech in Kazakhstan 2026», prepared by RISE Research & Advisory in partnership with Tarlan Payments, BCC Hub, and Fintech Center, with the support of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
The study shows that Kazakhstan's fintech market has formed around large banking ecosystems. Banks have captured a significant share of the mass consumer market, making it increasingly difficult for independent technology companies to compete for end customers. At the same time, the development of Open Banking, BaaS, and shared payment infrastructure creates new opportunities for technology businesses.
